Mark brings over 30 years of experience in operations, strategy, and development in the multi-state, multi-site healthcare space. Notably, Mark spent 24 years in various senior leadership positions at United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (“USPI”), the nation’s largest developer, owner, and operator of short-stay ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at USPI. Mark was actively involved in de novo development, mergers and acquisitions, the operations of USPI’s entire portfolio of surgical facilities, and integrations of hundreds of surgical facilities into USPIs platform and culture.

 

In addition, he was the Chief Operating Officer for healthcare firms in the anesthesia staffing space and the veterinarian hospital space. The organizations were United States Anesthesia Partners and PetVet Care Centers. Also, Mark was an independent Board Director for Prospira PainCare and currently serves as an independent Board Director for Pryor Health, both portfolio companies of Enhanced Healthcare Partners. 

 

Mark began his healthcare career as a Financial Analyst for a small healthcare company in Nashville, TN, after completing his BBA in Marketing at the University of Kentucky and his MBA at the University of South Carolina.  Mark is originally from Kentucky and currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
